In August 2024, Libsyn gave its podcast ad rates with an average cost of $21.25 for a minute-long ad spot. This is slightly less than the rates from July 2024 and August 2023. The top three categories with the highest costs were Government, Technology, and Health & Fitness while True Crime, Sports, and Fiction offered more affordable rates.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I am a serial entrepreneur and host of the show Dare To Be Fearless. I started as a blogger back in 2011 and built the site into a full-time lifestyle site for young adults - from there cold pitched and sold my first show to Disney called Fearless Everyday. When I left Disney, I started building Be Fearless Summit!

What inspired you to start a podcast?

I started my first show This is Life Unfiltered back in the day when Joe Rogan was starting, and it's crazy looking back because there was no proof that podcasting would become what it is today. I loved being around founders from a young age and constantly wanted to be in the room with them, so after two co-hosts along the way, I took the show back over and kept doing it on my own.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

Dare To Be Fearless stemmed from the Disney show Fearless Everyday; but I felt like the topics I cover are much edgier now, so it was critical for me to piece together a name that was enticing and sexy but also real.

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

Helping Gen-Z and aspiring founders get out of their comfort zone and do the hard work; start a company.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

One of my favorite interviews was with Andy Puddicombe from Headspace. His journey is remarkable and I love that he started later in life. I also was Catt Sadler's only interview after leaving E! News and it was interesting to hear her side of the story (she tried to back out of the interview but I had just landed in LA and said I'm too broke for you to back out! You're coming to the studio!!)

I recently launched an ecomm business and I'm very excited to start sharing the journey before that.
