WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE PODCAST WORLD
'Call Her Daddy' Podcast by Alex Cooper Now Accessible on All Audio Platforms, Ends Spotify Exclusivity
Alex Cooper's popular interview podcast "Call Her Daddy" is no longer just on Spotify. After being exclusive to this platform for over two years, you can now find it on any major audio platform as well. This shift comes when Spotify itself is stepping away from exclusively distributing content. As of January 30, you can find all past episodes of the podcast on any audio platform. However, only Spotify will have the video versions.

Lewis Howes, an accomplished author, entrepreneur, ex-pro footballer and podcast host is planning to expand his widely followed podcast "The School of Greatness" into a comprehensive media business. He has launched 'Greatness', promoted as a unique podcast and media network that will introduce both new and recognized motivational voices through audio, video, TV programs and live events.
Audacy, a radio broadcast firm, is cutting around 25% of its workforce from its Pineapple Street podcast segment. This reduction involves letting go of 12 employees and comes as the company grapples with lower marketing budgets and less demand for expensive, limited edition narrative series. The SAG-AFTRA strikes have also played a role in these layoffs.
Army combat engineer Joel Hunt was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq in 2004, causing lasting brain damage. His injuries made it hard for him to adjust to life after service. Now, he's the executive director of Military Broadcast Radio (MBR), a platform that allows veterans facing health challenges like PTSD and traumatic brain injury to host their own talk and music shows.
