David Duchovny to Host His First Podcast
Actor David Duchovny is set to host his first podcast titled "Fail Better". The seasonal weekly show, produced by Lemonada Media, will be available on all major audio platforms from May 2024. Stephen A. Smith, a commentator renowned for his candid views on sports, politics and culture, has got a new partner for his podcast. The show named "The Stephen A. Smith Show" is now part of the iHeartPodcast Network by iHeartMedia, after first being started with Cadence13 from radio and audio firm Audacy.
The group that establishes standards for measuring podcast performance has released new proposed guidelines. These aim to resolve some data problems from recent years. The provisional rules require certified firms to provide clearer explanations of how they measure data compared to before.
The global cloud communications platform 'Infobip' has started a new podcast that focuses on tech founders and leaders of scale-up companies. This aims to provide support to startups and growing businesses by offering real-life examples of successful international scale-ups, demonstrating their growth journey.

Solve Issue When Apple Podcasts App Doesn't Play a Podcast
The Apple Podcasts app may not play podcasts due to issues with downloading or syncing, often caused by an unstable internet connection. Even with a strong connection, problems can still occur if the podcast servers are experiencing difficulties. Software bugs within the app or configuration settings could also prevent playback. These technical issues can be challenging to identify and resolve without specific error messages from Apple.

The Nordic podcast leader is followed by Ireland and Brazil. Both are above the 40% threshold of people having listened to a podcast in the last year. (Results found by the 2021 Digital News Report were similar, with Ireland first, followed by Spain and Sweden.)
Just like other Nordic countries, Sweden has a strong tradition of radio consumption. Some 60% to 70% of people (depending on which data you look at) listen to radio daily.
Revenue from streaming music in Sweden overtook physical sales already 10 years ago. By 2014 it accounted for 84% – that’s called skyrocketing growth.
Sweden is also unique thanks to multiple big digital audio players who compete not only nationally but also globally. Take Spotify, the world’s biggest music and audio streaming platform, which started out in Stockholm in 2006. The amount of podcasts in Swedish is increasing – up 89% on Spotify, the main platform, in just one year.
Acast is another Swedish-founded company with global presence.
Another important fact when it comes to the success of podcasting in Sweden is the fact that an industry-wide initiative led in 2017 to creation of Poddindex, a Swedish podcast measurement standard.
