DAVID A BARROW’S PODCAST JOURNEY

Meet David, your go-to guy for all things pop culture. Not only is he a movie enthusiast and an occasional gamer, but also a dedicated DC fan and avid games collector. When he's not indulging in his love for real ale and burgers, you'll find him hosting 'Davey A Talks' podcast - a platform where indie vibes meet mainstream chatter. Tune in to join the fun!

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I am a man who enjoys various hobbies such as watching movies and TV shows, playing video games, and exploring pop culture. I'm also a big fan of real ale and burgers. I'm from Liverpool, England, married with children.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

I started a podcast during lockdown as a positive project. I really enjoyed the process of recording and releasing episodes, and it gave me the opportunity to chat with new people.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

The name of my podcast was actually a rebranding from a previous one called "I'd Give That 10 Minutes". I wanted to shift the focus to just me talking, with an aim to discuss topics that I wouldn't normally talk about.

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

The main theme of our show is to have conversations with a variety of guests about their interests and hobbies. We also discuss movies and other topics we are passionate about.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

Going off on random tangents is always fun. When I laugh along with guests it makes it more enjoyable. The catch-up episodes I did were great as I loved reminiscing with friends, trips down memory lane with topics like Xmas and fave foods I love to chat about. Loved my chats with my son about Lego and Super Mario too.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

Good friend and fellow podcaster Frank Mandosa...host of his own podcast Silver Screeners and my Movies Across The Pod co-host. He's been a great help with my own podcast and is really knowledgeable about movies. It's why we work so well together.

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?

Possibly bringing in a co-host. Maybe adding video content too.

A special thanks to DAVID for sharing his insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish him all the best with his continued podcast growth.
