Spotify Picks in ChatGPT

Spotify can now be used within ChatGPT, letting users get music and podcast recommendations by connecting their Spotify account. Both Free and Premium users can ask for songs, playlists, or podcasts, and ChatGPT will provide personalized suggestions. Premium users get more tailored results, while free users can explore popular playlists. Users control their connection and privacy, as sharing is opt-in and content isn’t used to train AI. Podcast Tip Of The Day

While chart rankings can be exciting, they don’t tell the whole story. Platforms like Apple Podcasts weigh follows, completion rate, and listener intent, while Spotify prioritizes subscribers and growth. Instead of chasing chart position alone, regularly monitor your actual audience behavior—especially completion rates and retention—using Spotify for Podcasters or Apple Podcasts Connect. Combine this with growth in website traffic, social media followers, and engagement to build a full picture of your podcast’s health and reach.

Pro move: Set up a simple monthly dashboard that tracks retention, social growth, and website referrals—this helps you focus on meaningful growth, not just temporary ranking boosts.

A Final Note

“Chart rankings bring visibility, but loyal listeners define real success.”
