Toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a severe and potentially deadly bacterial infection, is a term most tampon users have likely come across on the information leaflets within tampon boxes. However, the true understanding of this condition might be unclear for many. Despite the serious nature of TSS, the chances of getting it are extremely low. In Australia, the actual numbers are not known as TSS is not a mandatory reporting condition. This topic was recently highlighted in an episode of the well-known podcast Life Uncut, drawing attention to the potential risks of medical misinformation.

Spunout, a support platform for Irish youth, has launched a new podcast named Mincéirs: Paving the Way. The podcast aims to highlight the views of young people from Ireland's Traveller community and discuss critical community problems. The podcast was released on Spotify and Apple Podcasts on Thursday, June 6, to mark Traveller Pride Week.
