Amazon Says Wondery Will Stay Open

Amazon is restructuring Wondery but denies shutting it down, refuting Bloomberg’s report of 110 job cuts. The podcast studio will continue producing creator-led shows under the Wondery brand but will split its narrative podcast team, which will move to Audible. Wondery CEO Jen Sargent is departing amid the changes, while Chief Content Officer Marshall Lewy will join Audible’s content team. Hit shows like Dr. Death and Business Wars will now fall under Audible’s umbrella. Amazon insists Wondery’s operations will persist, just under a revised organizational structure.
