Traditional Media Ad Revenue Predicted to Decline

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) predicts a 7.4% rise in podcast ad revenue in 2025, despite the growth rate being slower than previous years. Traditional media is expected to see a decline of 1.5% in total ad revenue due to no significant events like elections occurring this year. The IAB also predicts that podcasting's share of overall spending will decrease from 5.4% last year to 3.6%, as more funds are directed towards social media and paid search.

2025 Sees Christianity Rise in Mainstream Media

Christianity is gaining popularity in mainstream media, especially on podcasts. Notable figures like Douglas Murray and Richard Dawkins have begun to view Christianity more favorably. This trend of embracing or at least giving Christianity a fairer hearing has been noticed by popular podcast hosts such as Joe Rogan and Shawn Ryan, who have dedicated episodes to discuss Christian beliefs.

New Climate Podcast 'Boiling Point'

L.A. Times Studios has launched a new podcast called “Boiling Point”, hosted by Sammy Roth, focusing on climate change and its impact. What inspired you to start a podcast?

More people need to know that they aren't alone on this journey. Living in a world that wasn't built for you isn't easy. I hoped to help at least one person by starting a podcast. I'm honored that The Autism ADHD Podcast has been downloaded over 700,000 times:)

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

I wanted to be clear with the target audience - so I got right to the point:)

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

The main focus is to support parents and professionals with compassion, education, and neuroaffirming strategies.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

Oh, that's a good question. All the feelings can come up in our episodes: joy, pain, relief, and everything else. Others often tell me that while listening, they yell, "YES! They get it!"

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

This is a tough one. It's like picking a favorite child. Maybe my interview on with Jaime A. Heidel (autistic author) on trauma.
