More Latino Stories in Podcasts

Edison Research released new data from the 2024 Latino Podcast Listener Report during Hispanic Heritage Month. The report shows that Latino podcast listeners, especially those who prefer Spanish, want more podcasts that focus on topics they care about. Over half of Spanish podcast listeners want more stories from Latinos, stories from their country of origin, and more Latino hosts. Nearly half also said they would listen more if podcasts were translated into Spanish. The findings suggest creating more Spanish-language and culturally relevant content could increase Latino podcast listening.

Steve Burns Returns With New Podcast

Steve Burns, the original host of "Blue's Clues," has launched a new podcast called "Alive With Steve Burns," aimed at adults who grew up watching him. Burns says this show is a grown-up evolution of his classic series, putting listeners at the center as the main guests.

Podcast Tool

For podcasters seeking a simple and mobile recording solution, smartphone voice memo apps offer a practical starting point. iPhone users can utilize the built-in Voice Memos app, which provides essential tools like trimming, transcription, and even multi-layer recording for musical ideas, all synced via iCloud for easy editing across devices. Android users have strong alternatives like Voice Recorder & Voice Memos, which deliver high-quality, one-tap recording suitable for interviews, notes, or creative inspiration. While these apps lack advanced production features, their convenience and growing capabilities make them ideal for capturing clear audio on the go when professional equipment isn’t available.

Podcast Tip Of The Day

To quickly grow your audience with paid ads, match your podcast’s niche and target listeners to the right platform. Use Facebook for detailed demographic targeting and community building, Instagram for visually engaging clips and behind-the-scenes content, LinkedIn for professional or business-focused shows, and TikTok to reach younger, trend-savvy audiences with cost-effective, short-form video ads. Always tailor your creative—whether video, image, or copy—to fit the platform’s vibe and your ideal listener’s interests.

Start with a small test budget on one platform, analyze which drives the most subscriptions or engagement, then scale what works. Use trackable links or promo codes to measure ROI accurately.
