Listen Notes Reports Decline in New Podcasts

The number of new podcasts released last month decreased to 12,355 from 17,744 in January, according to Listen Notes. However, the total number of active shows this year has already surpassed last year's figure at 388,903. The count of 'dead' shows also dropped significantly compared to the previous year.

Autosport Launches Three New Podcast Channels

Autosport has launched three new podcast channels to broaden its coverage of motorsport. The Autosport Racing channel will cover global events, the Autosport National Podcast will focus on domestic racing in the UK, and the Autosport Retro Podcast will highlight historical moments from autosports 75-year history. There's also a James Allen on F1 Podcast for Formula 1 analysis and interviews, as well as a revived Tank Slappers podcast focusing on MotoGP.

New Podcast Series by Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson

Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, are starting a weekly podcast series discussing various topics with guests from the fields of entertainment, sports, health and business. The show titled "IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson" will host personalities like actors Issa Rae and Keke Palmer, psychologists like Dr. Orna Guralnik among others. Other high profile figures such as actor Dwyane Wade and Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky also feature in the guest list.

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, thinks that being unique and getting started early is important for success in the complicated podcast industry.
