Data Shows Growing Love for Podcasts

Once people start listening to podcasts, they tend to devote a significant amount of their daily audio time to them. According to data from Share of Ear®, among those who listen to podcasts, 34% of their total daily audio time is spent on podcasts, followed by AM/FM radio and radio streams (21%) and streaming music (17%). KASIA MCDANIEL’S PODCAST JOURNEY

Meet Kasia McDaniel, your friendly host for The Creative Home podcast. With her rich experience as a home stager and interior decorator, coupled with her numerous military moves, she brings practical tips to the table. Whether it's decluttering advice or creative decorating ideas, Kasia has got you covered. She will help you keep your home updated with the latest design trends and even guide you on how to sell your house quickly.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

My Air Force career ended after 10 years and I found myself wondering what to do next. Since we moved 5 times in 10 years, I realized the Air Force honed my home staging skills as we bought and sold houses quickly. I started a new career in home staging and helping homeowners show off their homes so they can sell them faster and for top dollar.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

After helping a homeowner stage her home, I realized there were some tips I could share with others who were in the same phase in life. I preferred talking instead of writing blog posts because it was so much easier to sit in front of a microphone and tell homeowners what they could do.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

As a home stager and decorator, I have to be creative in rearranging furniture and showing off the space. That creativity is what makes me unique and is what inspired me to call my podcast, The Creative Home podcast.

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

The show focuses on home staging and decorating tips but we also dive into moving tips as well as living in your home.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

I remember after recording weekly episodes, I really wanted to increase the number of episodes for my podcast. In 2021 for 6 months straight, I recorded daily podcasts so that I could get closer to recording 200 episodes.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

Amber Kornegay because she and I had so many things in common.

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?

My show will be adding a few more guest interviews. I normally don't do that but I think it gives homeowners a chance to meet some other business owners who can help them with their home.

A special thanks to KASIA for sharing her insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish her all the best with her continued podcast growth.
