Megaphone Gets Links Feature from Spotify

Spotify New Links Tool on Megaphone

Spotify has launched a new Links feature in its Megaphone hosting platform for podcasts. This tool lets show creators make shareable and trackable links for any episode or show. The links lead to a landing page where listeners can choose Spotify or other podcast apps, while giving creators data on clicks, plays, and downloads. Shows can see which episodes or promotions attract listeners and compare how well links perform on different platforms like Facebook or Instagram. This update uses technology from Chartable, a company Spotify acquired, as part of its plan to add more marketing features to Megaphone.

Podcast Tip Of The Day

Give meaningful shoutouts to other podcasts you genuinely enjoy—mention a specific episode or topic that aligns with your content and explain why your listeners would appreciate it. In return, ask the host to reciprocate with a personalized promo for your show, making sure both of you include clear calls-to-action and links in your show notes. This organic cross-promotion builds community, introduces you to engaged new audiences, and feels more authentic than paid ads.

A Final Note
