Advertisers Need to Value Audio Advertising More

Advertisers are underestimating the impact of audio advertising due to outdated evaluation methods, according to Joe Macarak, Director of Measurement Partnerships for SiriusXM Radio. Current mixed media modeling (MMM) often uses old radio data and fails to account for modern formats like streaming and podcasts. Macarak argues that digital audio is a powerful tool for influencing purchases and should be fully integrated into MMM calculations.

How Podcasts Helped Trump Beat Harris 

Donald Trump's success in the 2024 presidential election is largely credited to his appearances on podcasts. Both Trump and Kamala Harris used these platforms to reach large audiences, but it was Trump who won over Gen Z men and millennials. His strategy of focusing on male-oriented podcasts gave him a 53% approval rating among men aged 18-44, compared to Harris' 45%.

Refreshed Goalhanger Brand Comes to Life in Multichannel Ads

Goalhanger is launching its first multichannel ad campaign with Spotify, featuring nine unique scenes where individuals are enjoying Goalhanger shows in everyday settings. The company has also undergone a brand refresh, introducing a new logo and style guide. The ads will appear on social media, digital platforms, and major outdoor screens for the rest of 2024.

Five-Year Milestone for Edison Podcast Metrics and Top Shows

The popular Hotboxin' podcast, hosted by Mike Tyson, ended earlier this year after a run of nearly 257 episodes over five years. The closure was due to Tyson's other commitments and his fight with Jake Paul. However, in a recent interview with FOX, Tyson hinted at the possibility of the show returning due to its increased popularity following his fight.
