Design is typically associated with visual elements, so a podcast about design might seem contradictory. However, there's much to gain and appreciate about visual arts through the spoken word, especially from industry professionals. The podcast series started in October of last year and has released its fourth episode as of February this year. The latest episode features an interview with Julia Descole and Miranda Lopez Durnbeck, who founded By Beyond - a women-led creative studio based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

PODCAST OF THE DAY
Second Life Podcast

The Second Life Podcast, hosted by Hillary Kerr, is an inspiring show that delves into the world of career transitions. It's perfect for anyone needing a little motivation or guidance in finding their life's path - especially women who may be wrestling with these challenges.

We often find strength from the support we receive from other women; whether it's a kind word from a stranger, spending time with friends, or standing up against inequality together. While having strong female figures in your personal life can be empowering, podcasts like this offer another form of encouragement and inspiration.

PODCAST TIP OF THE DAY
How To Use Otter.ai

Otter employs artificial intelligence natural language processing technology to convert spoken words into text, eliminating the need for manual note-taking. The speech-to-text engine specifically processes the English language, while the speaker identification algorithm learns and distinguishes who is speaking and when in real-time. Otter automatically filters out filler words such as “um,” “hm,” and “uh,” even when they are added to a custom vocabulary in the app.

Total Recorder is an audio editing software developed by High Criteria, Inc. It has the ability to capture any sound that passes through a computer's soundcard. Besides recording via a soundcard, Total Recorder can also directly record digital sounds using its own virtual sound driver. This means there are no conversions between digital and analog formats which can reduce quality, even if a computer's soundcard doesn't have a loop-back line. Total Recorder operates on a shareware basis.

Main Features :

  • Support for multiple audio/video formats

  • Video Recording

  • Digital Sound Recording
