Night Acquires The Roost Podcast Network from Warner Bros. Discovery
Night, a talent management firm representing popular YouTuber MrBeast, now owns The Roost Podcast Network. The company took over the ownership from Warner Bros. Discovery. Earlier this year, the studio closed down Rooster Teeth that belonged to Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Streaming & Interactive Entertainment division.

The Daily Telegraph has revealed plans to start a daily news podcast named The Daily T, starting in May. This podcast will include major news, interviews, debates and discussions straight from the Telegraph's own newsroom.
Sony Music's Global Podcast Division has purchased Neon Hum, a podcast production company. Neon Hum is known for producing series like Dinner’s On Me, featuring Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and the true-crime series Smoke Screen.
According to Rudo Manjoro, a consultant at KLA for YouGov Solutions, the popularity of podcasting is increasing not only globally but also in South Africa. The easy accessibility of smartphones and the internet as well as the growing demand for audio content have made podcasts a common source of entertainment, information and learning for many people in South Africa.
