Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? My journey has taken me through many different roles: husband, father, writer, and podcaster. My passion for fatherhood and faith has shaped much of my work. I’m driven by the desire to help others reclaim their identity and redefine what it means to live with purpose, both as fathers and as Jesus followers. | What inspired you to start a podcast? I’ve noticed a growing disconnect in our culture - people struggling to find their identity, purpose, and meaningful relationships, especially in areas like fatherhood and faith. We’re often overwhelmed by expectations, yet still feel a deep need for honest conversations that go beyond surface-level topics. |
How did you come up with the name of your podcast? The name "The Revived Podcast" came from my desire to help others breathe new life into areas that feel stagnant - whether that’s fatherhood, faith, or personal growth. The idea of being “revived” reflects transformation. | What is the main focus or theme of your show? The main focus of my show is simple: Jesus. Whether we’re talking about fatherhood, identity, or personal struggles, everything points back to Him. My goal is to create a space where people can discover/rediscover who Jesus truly is, outside of expectations or religious subculture, and experience a real, personal connection with Him. ![]() |

PODCAST TOOL OF THE DAY

How To Use SquadCast
Set-up Your Account
SquadCast is an online tool for podcasting that doesn't require any downloads. Visit their website, select a subscription plan and start your podcast journey. Although you have to provide payment details even for the free trial, you can cancel after the trial ends. After signing up, there's a welcome video from the founders and an optional tutorial on how to use SquadCast.
Creating A Recording Session
When you join SquadCast, you'll find a feature called Reusable Session on the Recording Sessions page. This lets you use one link for multiple podcasting sessions with various guests. You can share this link through email or scheduling platforms like Calendly. There's also a Past Sessions option to download old recordings.
To start recording, click "Start Session" and use the three-dot icon to create an invite link. Or, choose “Add Session” to set up a new session where you can name it and send invites via email.
Guests get an email with instructions and a unique link that allows them to either join the stage (where they're recorded) or backstage (where they can only chat). You have control over moving participants between these two areas during any given recording session.
Finally, press Send emails to dispatch invitation mails carrying all relevant information about joining the upcoming podcasting session before selecting Done. If more convenient, these invitations may also be sent at another time later on.
Recording A Podcast
Before starting, check your mic and camera. Enter your name and device details. In the "Green Room", you can share pronouns, turn on echo prevention, and verify equipment. To start recording, press the red button. You can control different features during the call including muting your mic or sharing screens which will be saved separately.
Squadcast saves data continuously once recording starts to prevent loss in case of network issues. After finishing, each guest's files are saved separately for easy editing later on. If using a Studio package, you can apply Dolby mastering to your sound too.
When finished with a session, press Stop and guests may leave as they please.
Accessing & Downloading Files
After using SquadCast, you'll find your recordings on the main dashboard. You can download, share and re-render these files. If a guest leaves during recording, an extra audio file is created when they return without affecting others' files.
