WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE PODCAST WORLD
Peppa Pig’s Play-A-Long Podcast Launched by Audible and Hasbro

Audible, a company that offers audio entertainment, has shared news about a new Peppa Pig podcast. This comes as part of a deal with Hasbro, a company that makes toys and games. The Peppa Pig podcast, called Peppa Pig’s Play-A-Long Podcast, will have six episodes. Each episode will be 15 minutes long. The voice of Peppa Pig in the podcast is Amelie Bea Smith. The podcast will have Peppa and her friends playing games, going on outdoor trips, and singing songs with her new band, The Piggy-Wigs.

Ubong Matthew, an experienced project manager and podcaster, believes that podcasting is the next big online trend for African businesses. At a recent talk in Lagos about leadership and stress management, Matthew said that podcasting is a powerful tool for African creators and business owners. It can help them increase their brand's visibility and customer loyalty, and also grow their market.

Wow in the World is a fun learning podcast for kids and parents, made by Tinkercast. It's hosted by Guy Raz and Mindy Thomas, who talk about cool science and tech news. Recently, the toy company Thames & Kosmos started making toys for the podcast. Now, two more companies, Tonies and Goliath, are also going to make new stuff for Wow in the World.

David Bryan, who's known for being the first member of Bon Jovi, is starting a podcast. He's doing it with his daughter, Gabby Bryan, who is a comedian. The podcast is called Let Me Ask My Dad and it's a funny self-help show. It starts on May 28. They'll give fun tips about being a parent, family, love, rock music, and more.

For the first time, independent podcast creators are joining forces to host the Soundwave Summit. This event is set to take place on June 6, right after Radiodays North America. Several notable groups like Canadaland, Vocal Fry Studios and Kattie Laur, who started the Pod The North newsletter, will be part of the event.

The "Lead On" podcast with Jeff Iorg, which has aired over 350 episodes from Southern California, is now broadcasting from Music City, the base of the SBC Executive Committee. This weekly tool for church leaders and pastors has been popular among podcast listeners since it first started in May 2017. Even after seven years, Iorg continues to pass on his wisdom about life and leadership, while also taking on his new role as the president of the Executive Committee.
