More Latinos Listen to Podcasts than Ever Before

The Latino population in the U.S., which now numbers 65 million, spends more time listening to audio than non-Latinos. Their consumption of podcasts has increased from 1% to 14% of their daily audio listening time over the past decade. As both podcasting and the Latino population continue to grow, this convergence is expected to become a key focus for those in the audio industry.

Podcasts Gaining Popularity Globally, Study Shows

A study by Acast shows that over 95% of podcast listeners plan to maintain or increase their listening time in the next six months. The research also found high levels of engagement with podcasts, with nearly 80% and 81% of audiences in emerging and established markets respectively saying they are engaged or highly engaged when listening. According to Acast CEO Ross Adams, these findings show the growing opportunities for brands to reach highly-engaged global audiences through podcasts.

'Office Ladies' Podcast Announces New Format and Show

The "Office Ladies" podcast, hosted by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, is introducing a new phase following their rewatch of the comedy "The Office". Starting in early November, episodes will air twice weekly with one named “Office Ladies 6.0”, featuring new interviews and stories from the set. Additionally, a podcast called “Second Drink” will be launched on November 11th where they rerun their rewatch while adding new content.

Paramount Podcasting Head Steve Raizes Leaves Company

Steve Raizes, the Executive VP of Podcasting and Audio at Paramount, has left the company. During his time there, he led successful podcast launches that topped Apple Podcast charts. There is no news yet on who will replace him.

Cumulus Media Launches Two New Podcasts with Rich Eisen

Cumulus Media has announced two new podcasts from the Rich Eisen Podcast Network. The first, No-Contest Wrestling, will be co-hosted by actor O’Shea Jackson Jr and TJ Jefferson, featuring interviews with stars from WWE, AEW and independent promotions. The second podcast is The Jim Jackson Show hosted by NBA veteran Jim Jackson which covers topics ranging from college games to high level association sports.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

Hi, I'm Rick Nuske and I believe the rate of failure in small to medium size businesses is both unacceptably high and largely avoidable.

I also believe that with a little bit of help, small to medium size businesses can achieve much better results. I believe that it's my obligation to help increase the survival rate by sharing everything I know about getting results online.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

The motivation to start a podcast came from my desire to stay connected with the business world while being a stay-at-home dad.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

It came to me whilst waiting for a flight home one day.

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

Getting you in front of your best audience and keeping you there

Yes, there have been many memorable moments during the recording that I remember.

I don't have a favorite guest because each one brings something unique and special.
