Variety and Canva Discuss Podcasting Rise at Cannes Studio Event

From June 18 to 20, Variety and Canva are holding their combined Executive Interview Studio in Cannes at the Canva Villa. Tuesday's discussions featured John Allen, also known as MrBallen from "MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories," Oren Rosenbaum who is a partner and co-head of UTA creators, Nick Witters who is the CEO of Ballen Studios, and Blad Norman, Wondery's head of global marketing. They talked about how podcasting has grown over time and how to build a brand successfully.

GMA Integrated News launches first-ever news podcast, "Philippines Today"

GMA Integrated News (GMAIN) has expanded its digital offerings by launching its inaugural news podcast, "Philippines Today," on May 27. The product of a partnership between the GMA Integrated News Digital Strategy and Innovation Lab (DigiLab), GMA News Online and New Media Inc., this new podcast offers updates on current headlines to Filipino audiences everywhere.

Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe Relaunching ‘A Touch More’ Podcast With Vox Media

Famous sports stars Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe are joining forces with Vox Media to re-launch their podcast "A Touch More Live". They also plan to grow their sports and pop culture podcast. The duo first started "A Touch More Live" as an Instagram series during the COVID pandemic. New episodes of the show will be out later this summer, though the exact date has not been announced yet.

Music Journalist Mark Sutherland Launches ‘The Money Trench’ Music Business Podcast

Mark Sutherland, a music journalist from the UK, is starting a new podcast named The Money Trench – The Music Industry Podcast with Mark Sutherland. Mike Walsh, who was once the Head of Music for XFM/Radio X, will be the executive producer. This new podcast will be available on streaming platforms starting Monday, June 24.
