Cooper Kupp, a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, and his wife Anna Marie Kupp started their own podcast called Daily Grind this week. The couple uses the platform to talk about their experiences as parents and reveal some NFL insider stories. On the first episode of the show, Cooper stated that they hoped to engage in substantial dialogues through this medium.

The Digital News Report revealed that about 23% of people in various countries use the radio to stay updated with news. Countries like Kenya, Sweden, Ireland, Nigeria, Norway and Germany have higher than average usage rates at 45%, 38% and 36% respectively. In contrast, radio news listenership is relatively low in places like Bulgaria, The Philippines, Argentina, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia.
Trustworthiness is a major strength for radio as a medium; particularly evident in Kenya where Citizen Radio enjoys the trust of nearly nine out of ten people. Meanwhile in Hungary no media outlet can claim the trust of more than half its population.
On an international scale over one month period it was found that on average around 13% of those who consume audio content get their news from podcasts.
