Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? I am originally from Cincinnati, OH, but have lived in North Dallas for the past 10 years. For my "day job", I am a Talent Development Professional for an International Automobile Company. I am also a freelance Talent for On-screen commercials, print, as well as a Voiceover Artist for Web Courses, Audiobooks, and more. | What inspired you to start a podcast? I truly believe that every person has a story to share. I want The Road to Rediscovery to provide a platform for my extraordinary guests to share their stories in the hopes of helping others who may be suffering through dark times of their own. |
How did you come up with the name of your podcast? I've always viewed life as a journey. Throughout our journey, lessons come our way. Sometimes we learn those lessons. Other times we don't, but years later, that same lesson hits us but looks different, AND it seems familiar to us. That second time we HEED the lesson and REDISCOVER what its meant to teach us. | What is the main focus or theme of your show? The main focus of the show is to support and help people in their life struggles. Helping them develop the self-awareness to overcome their challenges, reflect on those lessons, grow, and pay it forward to help others. ![]() |
Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you? Well, I remember interviewing actor Eric Roberts and his wife; discussing his amazing career and all the challenges he's overcome. I also remember a great conversation I had with Tommy Chong, who actually started to lightly tease me for being so "proper"; I had to "loosen up", be bad and have some fun!
| Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why? Dr. Fleet Maull. He served 14-year federal drug sentence. Developed an empowerment model called "Radical Responsibility" and completely shifted his focus from self to caring for others, particularly terminally ill inmates. He just had an incredibly vivid way of describing his journey and experience. What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about? At the time of this feature, I would have released my "Rediscovery Roadmap" digital course! This course guides the learner through obtaining the 4 pillars of personal growth: Self-Awareness, Humility, Gratitude, and Service to Others. |
A special thanks to AUBREY for sharing his insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish him all the best with his continued podcast growth.

PODCAST TIP
A shock mount is a device that holds your microphone and isolates it from vibrations, bumps, or movements that can cause unwanted noise in your recordings. It’s especially useful for podcasters who record in environments where subtle movements (like tapping the desk or adjusting the mic) could disrupt audio quality.
Why You Need a Shock Mount
Reduces Handling Noise: Prevents vibrations from reaching the microphone, ensuring cleaner audio.
Improves Sound Quality: Keeps your recordings free from low-frequency rumbles or bumps.
Protects Your Mic: Securely holds your microphone, reducing the risk of accidental drops or damage.
Do You Need One?
If you’re using a sensitive condenser microphone or recording in a less-than-ideal environment, a shock mount is highly recommended. For dynamic microphones or quieter setups, it may be less critical but still beneficial.
What to Choose
Compatibility: Ensure the shock mount fits your specific microphone model.
Build Quality: Look for durable materials like metal or high-quality rubber.
Ease of Use: Choose one that’s easy to attach and adjust.
Investing in a shock mount can take your podcast’s audio quality to the next level, making it a worthwhile addition to your setup.
