WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE PODCAST WORLD
AKA Design Unveils New ProVoice Podcast Desk at London Show
AKA Design, an expert in studio furniture, has introduced its fourth version of the ProVoice podcast desk at The Podcast Show held this week in London. This new model is intended for professional podcasts and video podcasts. To date, AKA has provided over 120 specific podcast studios across the globe to notable clients such as Spotify, Sky, NBC, Google, LinkedIn among others.

Airwalk Reply, a technology consulting firm, has started a new podcast called 'The Big Questions in Tech'. This monthly podcast will provide expert analysis on significant technological subjects. The first topic of discussion is the implications related to artificial intelligence.
The Daily Reporter has started a new podcast called Brews and Blueprints. It aims to connect with key people in the construction and development sector in Wisconsin. The first guests are Cavalier Johnson, Mayor of Milwaukee, April Krahn from C.D. Smith Construction, and Ryan O’Toole from Hunzinger Construction.
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce, well-known for their New Heights podcast, are gearing up to record an episode in Cannes, France. This special global version of their popular podcast is set to be part of the 2024 Sport Beach event, which is linked with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Stephanie Beatriz and Melissa Fumero from Brooklyn Nine-Nine are starting a funny podcast called More Better with Stephanie and Melissa. It's coming out on May 30. Wilmer Valderrama is the main producer, working alongside iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Network. The pair will be talking about life, sharing personal stories, and making people laugh.
Today, The Australian introduces Bronwyn, a fresh investigative podcast by celebrated reporter Hedley Thomas. This captivating narrative delves into the puzzling vanishing of Bronwyn Winfield in 1993. A loving mother to two young daughters, she went missing in a peaceful surfing village in New South Wales.

Nineteen genres have been identified as having at least one percent reach among weekly podcast listeners aged 13 and older in Q1 2024.
While there have been changes to the top podcast genre rankings since Q1 2023, Comedy continues to capture the largest U.S. weekly 13+ podcast listening audience.
Society & Culture and News also remain in the top three, but Society & Culture has now surpassed News for the #2 spot this quarter.
The genres with the most movement compared to Q1 2023 are Music and Fiction, both moving up two spots on the list.
Education and Religion & Spirituality also had growth on the ranker, moving up one spot from their Q1 2023 placement.

It's the largest gathering of its kind in Europe and brings together independent podcast creators, industry professionals, and business leaders from around the world. The two-day event features over 350 speakers and more than 150 panels and sessions. It also includes live stage shows with exclusive performances throughout a week at Islington, London. The goal of The Podcast Show is to inspire, empower, and support those involved in podcasting today and in the future.
By night, between 20 and 26 May, the Podcast Show LIVE offers a festival of real-time evening broadcasts. This is a week-long programme of stage shows, held across Islington. Expect exclusive performances and guests as your favourite shows are brought to life.
