Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I’m an author, podcaster and an educator. I have a positive mindset which helped me to leave my government job; I came to Canada in 2022 before that I was in India. For a decade or so I had been teaching teenagers. I started from scratch in this new country with a lot of zeal.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

Actually, I lost my father in 2016 which has left me shattered. I started to question my existence which led me to spiritual awakening. I started listening to thought-provoking audio. During Covid, I thought I should share with others what I have been learning. That’s how it all started.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

I was looking for power and assurance from the outer world but then I found my inner power which lead me to the title of my podcast - Be ur own hero

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

The main focus of the podcast is to give simple and applicable strategies to the listener to make their lives more purposeful and joyful. It’s a self help

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

Yes, of course. There have been a couple of times I felt an Aha moment while recording the podcast. But one stood out the most when one of my guests shared his life story when he was kept as a hostage and how he had spent his time there with a minimum of facilities and only his connection with God helped him to go through that tough phase of his life.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

Alfredo Beach

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?
