  • People are increasingly enjoying video podcasts, with comedy being the most watched category.

  • Between 1 a.m. and 5 p.m., people prefer listening to only the audio of video podcasts. However, from 6 p.m. to midnight they tend to watch them as it's their relaxation time.

  • During weekdays, podcast consumption is higher at an average of 78%, while weekends account for just about 22%. The peak times for listening are during commuting hours which are at around 8 a.m and again at around 5 p.m on weekdays whereas on weekends it’s between 11a.m - 12 noon with an occasional increase in evening times.

  • Listeners who engage by responding to a host’s question through our Q&A feature end up spending roughly two and half times more hours per month watching the show than those who don't respond. This suggests that new ways may be needed to encourage listener involvement to increase loyalty among new audience members.
