New Podcast Platform by SiriusXM Celebrates Women's Empowerment

SiriusXM is launching the Women's Empowerment Network, a new podcast platform premiering on December 9. The network will debut with two podcasts featuring interviews and discussions around self-improvement, financial strategies, mental health, and news affecting women's lives. Karen Hunter will executive produce this initiative that aims to inspire women from all walks of life.

November Podcast Rankings Show Growth in U.S. Downloads

Podtrac has released the top U.S. and Global Publishers & Networks and Top U.S. Podcast rankings for November 2024. All of the U.S ranking participants either increased or remained stable in Unique Monthly Audience (UMA) from October to November. Additionally, four of these participants saw an increase in U.S downloads within this period.

Radiolab Teams up with IAU for Asteroid Naming Contest

The podcast "Radiolab" has collaborated with the International Astronomical Union (IAU) for a contest to name Earth's companion asteroid. Seven finalist names have been selected from nearly 3,000 entries and public voting is open until January 1, 2025. The names are based on mythology from various cultures including Filipino, Roman, Estonian, Sumerian, Norse, Inuit and Aztec.

Eoin Comerford Joins Rock Fight Podcast as Regular Commentator

Eoin Comerford, an experienced leader in the outdoor industry, is joining the Rock Fight Podcast as a regular commentator. Having worked at Moosejaw and Walmart, he brings valuable insights into retail and outdoor brands that will enhance discussions on the podcast. Listeners can expect his input every Monday on a variety of topics related to the outdoor industry.

New Podcast Explores History of Alcoholic Drinks

Tom Parker Bowles and Henry Jeffreys have launched a new podcast, Intoxicating History, that uncovers the stories behind popular drinks. The podcast will explore how alcohol has influenced history, from shaping civilizations to sparking wars. It is available on all major podcast platforms starting December 5.
