Private Mediator Hired for SiriusXM Lawsuit

SiriusXM is seeking to settle a case regarding the lack of podcast transcripts for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. This comes after they asked a court to dismiss the case. Podcast Tip Of The Day
Editing a podcast? You’ve got two main approaches: timeline editing (working directly in an audio editor like Audacity or Adobe Audition) and text-based editing (using transcripts to edit, like in Descript or Adobe Podcast). Here’s how to choose:
Timeline Editing (Traditional)
✔ Best for: Fine-tuning pacing, music, and sound design.
✔ Pros: More control over waveforms, cuts, and effects.
✔ Cons: Slower if you’re rearranging long conversations.
Text-Based Editing (Modern & Fast)
✔ Best for: Dialogue-heavy shows, interviews, or quick turnaround.
✔ Pros: Edit by deleting text—AI automatically adjusts the audio.
✔ Cons: Less precise for complex audio layers.

“Done > Perfect. Publish and iterate.”
