Finding the Hidden Business in Everything

Shaan Puri is an entrepreneur, investor, and co-host of the hit podcast My First Million, where he and Sam Parr deconstruct market trends and brainstorm innovative business ideas drawn from everyday opportunities. Formerly the acting CEO of Bebo and a senior director at Twitch, Puri now inspires creators and founders through his sharp analysis and actionable insights shared on the show and in his newsletter, The Milk Road. His approach is rooted in a powerful observation: "Everything you see in life—from a 'No Dogs Allowed' sign in a park, to a poster of The Rock, to a toaster on your kitchen counter—it didn’t just show up. It got there through a chain of events. A person had a pain point, an entrepreneur recognized that pain point, and created a solution."

Podcast Tip Of The Day
To stay comfortable and maintain consistent audio quality during long podcast recordings, wear your headphones with a snug but not tight fit—adjust the headband to avoid pressure points and ensure the earcups fully seal around your ears to block noise and reduce volume temptation. Proper positioning not only prevents ear fatigue but also helps you stay aligned with your microphone’s "sweet spot," so your voice stays clear and balanced from start to finish.
Take short breaks every hour to rest your ears and prevent listener fatigue—your focus (and your audio) will thank you!

A Final Note
“Your voice paints a portrait in sound—let them hear the smile, the curiosity, the fire in your words.”
