A new study reveals that listeners of business podcasts are not only highly educated but also display high levels of intellectual curiosity. They spend more time listening to podcasts and represent one of the most affluent groups with an average annual salary of $88,728. The listenership is surprisingly young and diverse, with a mean age of 43 years and three in ten being non-white.

Triton Digital Releases December 2024 U.S. Podcast Rankings

Triton Digital released its December 2024 U.S. Podcast Ranker, showing iHeart Audience Network as the top sales network with 62.7M weekly downloads and 17.8M weekly users. NPR was second with 24.5M downloads and 5.8M users, followed by Audacy Podcast Network in third place with 11.9M downloads and 4.4M users. The most popular podcasts were "NPR News Now", "Up First", both from NPR, and "The Dan Bongino Show" from Cumulus Podcast Network.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

44 years old male from Mississauga Ontario Canada. I have eight years of television production experience as a producer, video editor, videographer, and on air reporter. My podcast started in May of 2021(56 episodes so far)

What inspired you to start a podcast?

First, COVID(staying home) Secondly, the local television station I worked for closed down and I wanted to use what I learned during my television career in a different media outlet.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

The podcast name came about because I’m chatting with a guest. Let’s Chat With!

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

The theme is to share interesting stories or experiences from the wide variety of different guests who appear on the show.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

My interview with female magician Kayla Drescher. She told me about the time she performed at a male prison and became a friend with one of the prisoners(he was really nice)
