Want Podcasts on Threads?

Threads, Meta's social network rival to X (formerly Twitter), is testing a new podcast preview feature to help users find and listen to podcasts more easily. Creators can add podcast links to their profiles, and shared links will now appear with bold, colorful previews in users' feeds. This feature currently supports Spotify links and will expand to more platforms soon. Threads emphasizes that its focus is on fostering podcast discussions rather than becoming a podcast distribution service. Podcasters will also receive analytics about how their shows are being discussed on the platform.

Podcast Tip Of The Day

If you realize a guest's audio quality is poor during recording, don't stop the conversation. Instead, have them record a separate, high-quality audio track on their phone using a voice memo app while you continue the interview on your main recording. Ask them to count to three loudly at the start and end of their local recording so you can easily sync the clean audio with your original file in editing. This "double-ender" backup method can save an otherwise unusable interview and teaches you to always have guests record a local backup track for crucial conversations.

A Final Note

“Great content can't shine through bad audio—your listeners' ears will always thank you for investing in sound quality first.”
