JOSHUA XIAOSHUAI’S PODCAST JOURNEY

Meet Joshua Xiaoshuai, the friendly and engaging host of the Asian Answers Podcast. He is dedicated to sharing stories and experiences of Chinese and Asian Americans living in North America. With his unique ability to connect with interviewees, he brings you insightful conversations every two weeks. Join him as he explores themes around immigration, settling down, and financial success among this diverse community.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I am a Software Engineer in the United States. This podcast focuses on the experiences of Asian immigrants in North America, particularly on how they establish businesses and adapt to new cultural environments. It highlights the challenges and triumphs faced by these immigrants, offering insights into their entrepreneurial journeys and personal stories.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

Immersive interviews will help the storytellers have more freedom to express their thoughts and facts. I am a big fan of 'HIBT,' 'Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend,' and 'The Ramsey Show'. The goal was simple yet exciting: chat with fellow Asians in the U.S. and unravel the secret sauce of their financial success. It's like a treasure hunt for wisdom and stories.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

I live in GA, and GA is in Chinese.

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

This podcast primarily appeals to Chinese-speaking individuals interested in the experiences of Asian immigrants in North America. The content is particularly relevant for those exploring cross-cultural experi‐ ences, business ventures, and personal growth in a new environment. Your podcast serves as a bridge, offering insights and shared experiences that resonate with a diverse audience.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

Many of my guests charge $10,000 per hour for their time, so I feel incredibly fortunate to have each of them participate in my podcast for free. Their willingness to share their stories and insights has created numerous memorable moments for me and my listeners.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

A guest shared her inspiring story of transferring from a community college to UC San Diego, which not only moved me but also motivated many listeners.

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?

Hi Podcast Tonight community, shall I start a English version of my current podcast (currently it is Chinese-speaking).

A special thanks to JOSHUA for sharing his insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish him all the best with his continued podcast growth.
