Podcast listening among Americans aged 55 and older is growing quickly, with 27% having watched or listened to a podcast in the past week in 2025, up from 19% in 2024. Podcast Tip Of The Day

A vague topic like "life, pop culture, or random chats" makes it hard to attract loyal listeners. Instead, drill down: What specific angle, audience, or passion can you own?

Example: Instead of "movies," try "90s Action Flicks Revisited" or "Horror Films from Underrated Directors."

A tight focus helps you stand out, build a community, and stay motivated.

A Final Note

“Your podcast's success starts with a clear, compelling focus—niche down to stand out and grow an engaged audience.”
