Podcast Tip Of The Day

When editing your podcast audio, you'll encounter two main approaches:

🔹 Non-Destructive Editing (Recommended for most cases)

  • Keeps your original audio file intact

  • Allows unlimited tweaks without permanent changes

  • Most DAWs (like Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper) default to this

  • Ideal for cuts, fades, and plugin adjustments

🔹 Destructive Editing (Use sparingly!)

  • Permanently alters the original file

  • Helpful for fixing unfixable issues (e.g., removing background noise at the source)

  • Risky – always keep a backup before making destructive changes
