Trixie Mattel to Host Ambies Podcast Awards; Malcolm Gladwell, Ira Madison III Set for Honors

The Podcast Academy's annual Ambies awards are back for their fourth event on March 26. Trixie Mattel, the winner of "RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars" Season 3, will be hosting the ceremony. The Ambies honor top-quality podcasts that enhance the reputation of podcasting as a distinctive and personal means of entertainment, storytelling and information sharing. This year's contest includes 192 nominees spread over 27 categories. Each voting member of The Podcast Academy will choose the winners.

Two Miami Dade College Students Named Finalists in NPR’s College Podcast Challenge

Ana Bassett and Michael Vargas, students at Miami Dade College (MDC), have made it to the final round of NPR's College Podcast Challenge. They were chosen from over 500 submissions from colleges and universities nationwide. MDC is the sole institution in Florida to make it on the list, also being unique for having two finalists in this competition that highlights exceptional college podcasting.

Why Jason and Travis Kelce could be the next $100 million podcasters

Jason Kelce, who recently retired from the NFL and earned over $80 million while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, has found success in podcasting. Together with his brother Travis Kelce, they started a podcast called "New Heights" in September 2022. The show has consistently ranked first on several charts on platforms like Apple and Spotify. Last week, Bloomberg News reported that they are considering offers from different media companies to acquire their popular podcast.
