MERCHON HARGRAVE’S PODCAST JOURNEY

Meet Merchon Hargrave, the lively host of High Vibe Table Talks. She is your personal cheerleader and partner in accountability. Her mission? To help ambitious women overcome mental obstacles and make their big dreams come true through simple, manageable steps. Join Merchon at the High Vibe Table as she inspires transformation one talk at a time!

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I am an entrepreneur and podcaster of High Vibe Table Talks. I love creating safe spaces for women to go after their dreams, making an income and an impact. I have a background in education and then worked for a start-up for almost a decade. I was able to wear a lot of hats and really learn so much about growing a business. I want others to see themselves in the process and go for it.

What inspired you to start a podcast?

I was having these incredible conversations in my mastermind groups and I wanted to share them with others. I was able to learn so much being the daughter of an entrepreneur. I want others to have a seat at the table so they can see the highs and lows are a part of the process, not a roadblock.

How did you come up with the name of your podcast?

I was attending a lot of different networking events trying to figure out what could be a potential next path for me and my career. I would leave and rate them on a scale of how High Vibe they were. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I created my own. I also believe in building bigger tables, not higher fences, so that is how I came up with High Vibe Table Talks!

What is the main focus or theme of your show?

Exploring the messy middle of entrepreneurship. It is a roller coaster journey for everyone, and knowing that others are on that ride is so important to keep going! We see a lot on social media of people succeeding and having incredibly profitable businesses or launches that sell out in 10 minutes. While some of these stories are true, they didn't start out that way.

Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you?

My episode with Diann Wingert around ADHD fell at a time when I was going through the process of being diagnosed, so I think that one hit home more than the others. It was a very emotional time for me and there was a lot of confirmation during that discussion that my brain is just wired differently.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

My favorite guest so far has been Amy Arbogast. She is a public speaking consultant who was actually very nervous to be a guest. She warmed up and was visibly excited as we dove deeper into this topic about which she is clearly passionate. Every time I chat with her, she says something that blows my mind and makes me think about something in a completely different light.

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?

I am really honing in on sales content. I believe that so many incredible women have so much to offer, but the sales part of building a business is what scares them and holds them back. Not because they aren't capable, but because they have negative feelings attached to the process of sales. I want to empower more women to dive into sales and build a business that makes an income and an impact.

A special thanks to MERCHON for sharing her insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish her all the best with her continued podcast growth.
