Filler Words for Podcast Day

A new global podcast initiative, UmmmPodcast.com, launched to celebrate International Podcast Day 2025. The project, led by Arielle Nissenblatt and the Certified Crucial team, invites people worldwide to submit filler words like “umms” and “uhhs” in any language. These submissions will form a searchable database helpful for podcasters, linguists, and creators. Participants can record their sounds directly on the website, which also offers resources and partnership opportunities. While T-shirt design submissions end on September 25, the archive of filler words will continue to grow beyond that date.

Podcast Tip Of The Day
When planning your podcast ad strategy, consider both baked-in and dynamic ad insertion to maximize revenue and relevance. Baked-in ads, permanently embedded in your audio files, are ideal for host-read endorsements that build authenticity and trust with listeners. Dynamic ad insertion (DAI) offers flexibility, allowing you to update time-sensitive promotions, target specific audiences, and monetize back catalog episodes effortlessly. For the best results, use DAI tools from platforms like Megaphone or Spotify while prioritizing host-read ads to maintain a personal connection with your audience.
