YouTube Becomes Top Podcast Platform in the U.S. YouTube has become the most popular platform for podcast listening in the U.S., reaching an all-time high of 34% usage rate among weekly podcast listeners by 2024. This is according to a study conducted by Cumulus Media and Signal Hill Insights, which also found that one-third of these consumers prefer watching podcasts with videos. The study indicated changes over time, showing YouTube's rise from being the third-most accessed destination in 2021 to overtaking Spotify and Apple, whose popularity as preferred platforms have decreased. | ![]() |
