Veritonic Enhances Podcast Listener Tracking Feature

Veritonic, a well-known audio analysis and research tool, said today that it's improving its podcast listener tracking feature. This new enhancement will give companies and advertisers better understanding of who is listening to their podcasts. This could change how they connect with their audience online.

Spotify is putting out a new report called 'Global Podcast Trends Tour Report' that looks at the newest trends in podcasting. The report offers an inside look into how people are using podcasts and shares interesting facts. One key finding was that 63% of people trust their favorite podcast host more than they trust their top social media influencer, introducing a new term - podfluencers.

Sony Music Entertainment (SME) announced a new show today at The Podcast Show in London. The show is called "Origins with Cush Jumbo" and it will start in September 2024. This program will explore the interesting backgrounds of some of the biggest stars in entertainment.

The most popular French podcasts in Canada continue to be Le Radiojournal from Radio Canada, Les chroniques de Pierre-Yves McSween from Cogeco Media, and Richard Martineau from QUB. In English, Front Burner, The World This Hour and The Current all from CBC/Radio-Canada are still the top three favorites.

Signal Hill Insights recently shared research showing that top executives are two times more likely to regularly listen to podcasts and on-demand audio. Now, they're sharing more information about how B2B podcasts can reach more people who make decisions in businesses. Signal Hill used data from Triton Digital Podcast Metrics Demos+ and looked at answers from over 12,000 podcast listeners every month. They focused on 1,245 people who had listened to a business podcast in the last month.

The "Lead On" podcast with Jeff Iorg, which has aired over 350 episodes from Lemonada Media, a popular podcast network, and the BBC are teaming up to make a new global podcast series. They plan to combine their listeners and create weekly discussions about pop culture for people all around the world to enjoy.
