Podcasting is the process of creating audio or sometimes video content, editing it and then sharing it online. On the other hand, broadcasting involves live streaming of either audio or video content to listeners or viewers in real time.
From the perspective of an audience member, listening to a podcast and tuning in to a radio show are quite similar. The main distinction is that podcasts can be accessed whenever one chooses, unlike radio shows which follow a specific schedule. Furthermore, there's more opportunity for live engagement with the audience during radio broadcasts.
