PAV & NIEL’S PODCAST JOURNEY
Meet Pav, one of the dynamic hosts of The Top 10 Of Anything Podcast. With his lively spirit and a knack for keeping conversations engaging, he has made this podcast a favorite among many listeners. Whether it's movies, songs or unusual topics, Pav brings his unique perspective to every discussion. Join him as he explores various subjects with interesting guests and presents you with captivating top 10 lists! | ![]() |
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? We have been podcasting for over 11 years with many different shows. I (Pav) have a co-host who has been away from the pod this year due to an accident so I have been going it alone in 2024. | What inspired you to start a podcast? Neil and I decided to jump in back in 2013 for a laugh and it has been just that. We haven’t laughed so much in our lives as we have over the last 11 or so years |
How did you come up with the name of your podcast? Our pod before this was a very successful fan podcast about a BBC comedy show called “This Country”. We did 200 episodes on that show that only had 13 episodes. I wanted to do something with more of a broader reach. Everyone loves lists so why not do a show that each week could be a completely different subject with a different guest! | What is the main focus or theme of your show? With all our shows it’s having fun. Not just us having fun but the guests too. If that is successful then, most of the time, the listener will have fun too. ![]() |
Have there been any particularly memorable moments during the recording that stick out to you? Oh loads. Recording a pod for an hour and then the power goes out. We lost the whole recording. Luckily a comedian friend was the guest so we started from the beginning and tried to recreate the hour and laughed all through it as we had done it once already. It’s usually the moments you couldn’t write that become the funniest moments of all
| Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why? Couldn’t possibly answer that. It’s like choosing your favourite child. Let’s just say I’ve been very, very lucky with the amazing guests on the pod. What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about? Hopefully, Neil, my co-host, will be back at the start of next year and we are looking at doing our first live show for this podcast. For our last podcast, we did 4 live shows at a local theatre and sold out most of them (the last one was just out of Covid so didn’t quite sell out!) So that’s something we have been looking at which could be fun |
A special thanks to PAV for sharing their insightful podcast journey thus far and we wish them all the best with their continued podcast growth.
