The International Women’s Podcast Festival 2024, hosted by Content is Queen and Spotify, will take place in London on October 3-4. The festival features workshops, masterclasses and discussions from leading podcasters, with sessions focusing on various aspects of podcasting such as improving sound quality, booking guests and protecting intellectual property. A free segment called Global Voices will bring together international podcasters to discuss their experiences and strategies for success.

Triton Digital Releases Canada Podcast Ranker for August 2024

Triton Digital has released the latest Canadian Podcast Ranker for August 2024. The top three French-language podcasts were Le Radiojournal, Mario Dumont and Les chroniques financières du 98,5 whereas the leading English-language ones were Front Burner, The World This Hour and World Report. Overall, Dateline NBC was ranked first with SiriusXM topping the networks chart with 3.90M average weekly downloads.

Spotify's Podcast Head Sahar Elhabashi to Leave This 2024

Sahar Elhabashi, the VP of Spotify's podcast business, is set to leave the company at the end of 2024 with no plans to join another firm. In her absence, Roman Wasenmüller will temporarily lead the podcast team while an internal and external search for a permanent replacement is ongoing. Additionally, Emma Vaughn will take over global advertising and content business development for podcasts while Shilpa Rao continues leading Spotify’s podcast business affairs and contract operations team.

Dr. Josie Horchak, a 33-year-old vet from Nashville, hosts a podcast called "The Vet’s Office", providing advice on pet ownership. During an episode with guest Taylin Lewan discussing her farm animals, Taylin's husky Akira defecated unexpectedly in the background. Despite having taken Akira to the bathroom prior to recording, both host and guest were caught by surprise.

We named our podcast after ourselves because it reflects the content, which is centered around our daily lives.

It's music, travel, and food.

There hasn't been any specific moment that comes to mind from the recording sessions.

Who has been one of your favorite guests so far, and why?

The band Sister Sin from Sweden. I really enjoyed their unique style of music.

What's next for your show – any exciting plans we should know about?
